Celebrating

People launch firecrackers from what appears to be the roof of one of the expensive apartments on Roosevelt and Third Street. This was taken from the roof of my apartment parking garage. Some people hopped over the ledge and walked on the roof of the apartment building. I wonder if the people living below them heard their footsteps.

Night photos of things at a distance really show how soft this lens is. It's not just the edges anymore. I'm going to upgrade from this Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 to the Canon 16-35 f/2.8 II within the next few months. I've got a freelance job coming up next month that will pay $4,000. That's enough for that lens.
