Welcome to The Kelpies, Ma'am.

MaggieD and I had a brilliant morning today. We took the bus (free!) out to the Helix park and walked up to the Kelpies. After a brief wait, we were allowed down to the canal basin beneath the Kelpies where we waited for the arrival of HM and Prince Philip and we're joined by Ali, Euan & Eve. We watched the Royal Helicopter sail over and it wasn't long until the barge "Wooden Spoon" arrived to a warm welcome from local dignitaries and hundreds of spectators.
I was especially pleased to see Prince Philip there as this might be their last joint event before he "puts his feet up".
Today's extras are of the two stunt planes which kept us well entertained with a superb aerobatics display and of the big Bentley (Best of British!) limousine wafting the Queen and Prince Philip off to Stirling for their next engagement up at the castle.
"Didn't they do well!"
