Where have all the trees gone ?!

Exploring New York city is a bit of a challenge as grandparents with a 4 week old in tow. But young C has been as good as one can expect and we are managing pretty well.

A walking tour today, along the "High Line" (old elevated freight rail line now turned into a walking trail). Some greenery there which was nice. Then the Chelsea market and lunch at Greenwich.

It's 4th July so celebrations with fireworks which we watched from the comfort of tv in our room - the presence of "tactical units" and machine gun armed/flack vested police everywhere put us off going out this evening. We are just not used to this sort of thing.
