Cheers!
Judy and I are celebrating our birthdays which happen within two weeks in July.
Therefore it was time for our annual birthday lunch which Judy always hosts and to which I bring a chilled bottle of prosecco which we manage to finish off over the strawberries.
Judy had to teach at 2 pm. Basil and I returned home sobered by a strong coffee and many glasses of water. I went to sleep for over an hour.
Harry arrived around 5 pm and planted the pond. He assures me that at least two of the plants will grow profusely. I'm glad he will be coming back at regular intervals to maintain it. The pond has gone very green with algae after the very hot weather, so he added some bacterial agent and pumped fresh water in to try and counteract it.
Next time, he says he will bring barley straw extract to purify the water. It acts faster than the bags of barley straw.
Len had left for tennis. After Harry went too, I assembled the octagonal light box and got my battery flash light working. Bit of a mini panic when I thought I needed another piece of equipment, but no, it was all OK.
Special project on tomorrow.
