Lit By Smiles
Late in the summer after my mum passed away, my very good mate got me into blipping.
Everyone used to say of Mum that the thing that they always took away after meeting her, was her smile. After she'd died, her ever-patient doctor said that he would really miss her - and especially her smile.
This orchid was her favorite and still, with J's love and care, it survives. Sometimes dormant, but back it flowers.
I've photographed it many, many times, but yesterday I had a completely different idea. This image is entirely naturally lit, but hey, let's pretend it's lit by smiles...
Another take.
