Busy bee.....

.....just had time to walk down the drive to enjoy the spicy heady fragrance from the wintersweet and watch the honey bee's collecting pollen, a break from packing.

Tomorrow we fly......on holiday and a long break it will be. Being winter I'm prepared for all kinds of weather, hope we take the sun with us.

Where are we going......to a region named after New Zealand's longest river - a Maori name when translated meaning 'flowing water'. Where the land is intensively farmed with livestock and crops, wine in the north and thoroughbred stables in the east. No more clues.....can you guess?

This will be a holiday of old haunts, new discoveries, time with family and time with friends.....a trip down memory lane :)
