And so the school holidays continue. The main reason for meeting the parents / bro yesterday was to make room for the Retina Photomarathon on Sunday.
Suitably fortified with bagels and cream cheese, and armed with wraps, sandwiches, water, fruit, Freddos, fruit gums and goodness knows what else, we headed off.
The subject matter was exuberance, irony, repetition, memory...oh I can't remember them all...did I say repetition?
We picked up G; had an hour to kill before she was meeting her mates so we did exuberance and then dropped her before a wander about Bellevue, Broughton St, the Omni and Union Street. We found a few things and I took some pre emptive strikes as back up in the hope that I might b able to bend them into some later categories (this proved a useful tactic..!)
Then we messed about Dalmeny Street; played in the park a bit before heading down to the Kirkgate; and hunted about there (I got the Lidl shot above with 'Precious' Alex in the frame)
And we ran out of ideas so headed up to hers; the boys ate biscuits, I drank tea and we recharged our batteries. Then back out for Skyline (not a stunner; it was raining by this time) and Attraction before picking up G, Industrial Beauty (that'll go up as Billboard blip) and then back to hers for a well earned roast chicken dinner.
We made it home around 8.30; baths and stories and the TDF day 2 will need to wait until tomorrow night.
