Off to Lappeenranta!

Emma and her friend and  teammate Heli traveled to Lappeenranta by train to visit their friend Roosa from basketball national team. Girls will return on Thursday. Roosa plays in the basketball team Catz. Emma and Heli participated their practises today - contracts to Catz were offered, told Emma  ;-D


The Finnish Meteorological Institute reports that the month of June was unusually cold, even by Finnish summer standards. Average temperatures stayed far lower than usual for the time of year, some 13 degrees here in southern regions. In Finland temperatures of 25 degrees Celsius or higher are considered "heat days" (helle). In June people in Tampere region weren't treated to such warmth at all. Tampere also was the rainiest place in Finland in June (137 mm).
