Goldfinches

The top photo was taken last week, and the bottom one was this evening. Mummy bird hadn't been around all day, so I tiptoed over to the laburnum to see if the babies had fledged, but was surprised to see them balancing on the edge of the nest.
They were surprised to see me, and all three babies immediately flew off into the fig tree! I don't know if they had fledged before and had returned to the nest, but they seemed to know what they were doing, so maybe they will return to the laburnum later.
