Locked

The gates at either end of this passageway never seem to be unlocked, hence the build-up of litter and weeds in the intervening space.  I think there's a car park at the far end, and were this path open it would probably be a short cut through to the shops. But no doubt there's a reason for keeping it blocked. It's one of those odd spaces that one suspects people sometimes wonder about and then forget. I'll probably pass it in a few days and it will have been mysteriously tidied up.
