Into the Depths

I was lucky enough to be able to go down into one of the bascule chambers of Tower Bridge. This is the space in the base of the bridge where the huge counter weight for the raising road swings down. 
I was at an art installation called Becoming Invisible by Ian Whittlesea. Unfortunately we were not allowed to take pictures in the chamber, but this is looking down to the entrance to it as we left.
