Vallee du Joux

I signed up for a run 12.73km in this magnificent setting. With rolling hills, forests - the setting was perfect. Not too hot, flat, what more could I ask for?

My only mistake was to have started smoking this year, stopped training, slipped into my running shoes rather than tying them up properly and underestimating my body - thinking that my mind could carry me through when the rest of me could not.

But such things only spur me on. Now I know what I need to get back on track in order to prepare for the Florence marathon.
