Cute

This is Mollie with her cousin's new tiny puppy 'Seymour'. They both joined us in Melbourn at Jon's parents house to celebrate Henry & Sophie's 15th and 14th birthdays. Together with the rest of the Gibbs family we had a bbq thanks to Sally, in the garden. It was lovely weather, even too warm at which point we sheltered indoors.

Jenny and Gemma joined us, and a bit later Martin. Sadly Jim wasn't well enough to join us, but we hope that we can see him fighting fit again soon. Jon has been troubled with car problems yet again today, and after taking advice from a mechanic friend, spent several hours in Cambridge getting new brake pads fitted. He missed Jenny, Gemma and Martin but had a cuddle with the puppy! We hate cars. They cause nothing but headaches for us, but what choice do you have? He has to drive to Cambridge for work, and i suppose the distance eventually takes it's toll. Fingers crossed we can go a few months now without a big car bill. If we don't its going to be a beans on toast holiday! Yep. Fingers and toes crossed.

Left Dan for the night. He will catch a coach home to Lichfield tomorrow morning. I forgot to tell you that Daniel was awarded employee of the month on Friday. He said it is rare for an intern to get it. He had dealt with a health and safety audit on his own, in the absence of any permanent staff in that role!

Jon drove us back and we've not done much since. Mollie has taken my car out to meet friends. I'm off to bed now. My only request is tat she gets it home before I go to work tomorrow!
