Basilica with Ice Cream

We spent a lazy day in Budapest, recovering from our strenuous birding  tour in Hungary and Slovakia. In the afternoon we visited the nearby Basilica of St. Istvan (St. Stephen), including the circular balcony below the dome, with wonderful view of the city (on a wonderful day with relatively few clouds). Nearby we had ice cream cones (very stylish, as you see in the first extra). The second extra shows the fallen trees (through the windshield) which blocked the road just a kilometer from our lodgings late on the afternoon of 25 June at the end of a violent storm; for more, see 27 June.
