Gulls at Morecambe.

These weren't the only birds of interest today. At 7 am I rushed for the binoculars when the garden was invaded by small birds. An exaggeration perhaps but there were at least 10 and they arrived together. They acted like blue tits but weren't blue. A quick look in the bird book and they were juveniles. A few came up to the window (I'm happy if they took spiders) and the others were darting between the hedge and tree. After about 5 minutes they moved on.

We were at Morecambe by 9.30, had a coffee then walked along the prom. That was where I spotted 3 goldfinches on the pebble shore. A pleasant morning out though rather breezy.
