Still life with local roots
The sweet peas were grown by Cathleen in her poly tunnel. The vase we found when clearing ground for our new lawn - part of the hoard of old bottles and glass that had been buried at the end of the farm sheds. The wall used to be the outside wall of our house but is now the inside wall of our conservatory and it is the oldest thing in the picture having been built in the 1790s.
My extra picture is of the miserable, wet day outside - Gizmo hunting in the rain. I just managed to catch a quick, impressionistic , picture of her as she moved into the long grass.
