Cake wot I made!

For Johannas' day today Marlane and I made a cake covered in fruit. It was a joint effort because I had trouble smoothing the butter icing and Marlane put on the cascading redcurrants. I did the rest though so there are 4 layers of sponge with jam and butter icing in between each. The top two layers are smaller in diameter hence the ledge with the strawberries and blueberries around the middle.
The white looking shine is edible gold spray to make it a little special.
The redcurrants were cut from our bushes around 23:00 last night hence the late night mentioned in yesterdays blip!
