Learning conferences

A busy couple of days with a million appointments to meet parents and students. We also attended our own kids' conferences which took an hour each. Dex took great delight in leading his conference and talking us through various stations such as literacy, maths and inquiry. He taught us some writing and maths activities and shared his learning journey. It really is incredible when he showed us some of his work at the beginning of the year compared to what he can do now. We had a good giggle at how rubbish he was! We loved the town that he and his class have built complete with a recycling centre. He really does have a great teacher this year.
Olivia, is also doing very well academically and her teacher kept telling us how bright she is. The main problem with Olivia seems to be her maturity and she has been struggling with relationships this year. Her teacher assures us that it's perfectly normal at this stage and that we shouldn't worry.

So, all in all, very proud parents!
