Canada Day

A mellow dusk here in Kent, and as the light dipped I had a good chat on FaceTime with my oldest friend (since we were 13) over in Canada, where they are celebrating 150 years of history on Canada Day. Over the internet I watched flags waving on boats passing her cottage, and could hear cheery Canadian music echoing across the water.
