I dithered a bit about taking Maisie to the beach today. 

She's getting more and more scared of the groomer .. and on the recommendation of a couple of friends I have booked some sessions with a behaviourist and groomer to try to help her get over her fears.

I mentioned this at dog park and was persuaded that the groomers there were very experienced with nervous dogs and all would be well. To cut a long story short - all wasn't at all well and they cut her quite badly with the clippers, which isn't going to help with the desensitising process. I'm annoyed that I was persuaded, but there we are - I trusted 'the experts'.

I wasn't sure whether sea water would be a good or bad thing for her sore pink wound  (I know in theory it's good - but the world is a polluted place these days!) But as you can see - I took her.

And she had a wonderful time playing with a couple of dalmatians!
