Strike a light!

I've been wanting to try this for a while, not for any particular reason I just wanted to see what it would look like. In case you can't work it out, it is a match being struck.

I set up my camera on a tripod with my wired shutter release, which can lock into the release position, and I set the camera to continuous shooting. I tried quite a few times, but getting the timing is difficult and also it's surprising how little a spark is needed to ignite the matches, this was one of only a few that came out showing any sparks at all.

I even videoed striking a couple matches at 50 fps and then extracted the frames from the video but the quality of the video wasn't very good.
