Ginny - 3, vet - 1
There are cats, who can't wait to go and see their friend, the vet, and will happily sit in the cat carrier on the way (Gizzmo).
There are cats, who like to go and see their friend, the vet, but will put up a fight about being in the cat carrier (Jaffa).
There are cats, who know all your tricks to get them into the cat carrier and so go to see their enemy, the vet, only every few years, but behave when they eventually get there (Guinness).
Then there's Ginny.
Ginny will go into the cat carrier more or less without a problem, but will put up an epic fight if anything other than a simple vaccination needs to be done at the vet's.We had a vet who was afraid of her before. We had her in a cat carrier not coming out even with the cat carrier standing upright. We had a vet calling us with blood still dripping from his hands to let us know there will be no blood check done this time...
So this time she got sedated for a Senior Kitizen health check. Cats are amazingly tough and they usually won't let you know anything is wrong until it's too late to help them, so I think it's worth to do what you need to do to make sure nothing nasty is brewing quietly inside. Results will be available next week.
Here she is, sleeping off the sedative in the afternoon.
