90 today!
This is Martin's Aunt Danka. We were invited to her 90th birthday celebration today. Born in Poland, she was deported during WW2 to one of Stalin's labour camps near the Arctic Circle. Freed three years later, at the age of 15, she weighed 3 stone 12. Her mother died of hunger, her father died of cancer fighting in the resistance. After the war she came to Scotland , married , had five children and became a successful business woman. She is a lovely happy person despite all she went through.
