Donuts

One of my plans for Athens was to follow some recommendations from food blogs. So, today it was donuts. The shop has been here since 1926 and I'm not sure the interior was much more modern.

Cooked to order, drizzled with honey. I asked for 2 or 3, minimum order was 6 and I think I got 7. Too much for me despite their yumminess so I hope the homeless man I gave the remaining ones to enjoyed them.

Heading back to Cairo tonight, it's been a good break. My Airbnb hostess was at a complete loss to understand why I needed to get out of Cairo; something only which Cairenes and long-term visitors would understand.
