Looking in, out & around

A constituency lunch which was so well attended by such a crowd of lovely people who were kind and caring and supportive.

Elbows and I were made a fuss of in many ways - I got given a huge bouquet - and we felt cherished, but also very grateful for many years of them bearing with us and encouraging us.

The world of politics is so weird. As a Christian, my every-day family is my church family. But in a constituency like ours, the people feel and act like a family. Nearly everyone I spoke to asked after each of our children and their exams and their university courses and sports. I think they think we belong with them and will stay with them and we probably will. We've got such history.

Tomorrow, is a family wedding. That should be great too.
