I'm watching you

The Terracotta warrior watches sternly from an upstairs window as the workmen start to fill in the trench outside the barn.  Not much else going on today.  It rained. The workmen sheltered inside our barn. I fretted about some of the expensive tools that I have in there and then chastised myself for making assumptions about their honesty. I fitted some smoke alarms and a new light fitting in one of the bathrooms.  N made carrot soup for lunch.  It wasn't as boring as it sounds, more like cosy and easy going.  The road outside is now covered in "boue", French for "mud".  It is not to be confused with "bouse", which means "poo", though come to think of it, that's what the road looks like it might be covered in!
