A rant about Monday holidays.

I'm not sure what happens where you are in the world, but here in Scotland we have this very odd system of allocating Monday holidays. Some Mondays the banks are all open, but the Council offices are shut - and other Mondays the schools are all closed, but the parents are all at work. Edinburgh has different days off to Glasgow, who in turn refuse to dovetail with Greenock etc

You'd think in a small nation of 5 millions folk we could harmonise the holidays!!

Today I walked half a mile carrying a large duvet in a binbag, only to find the dry-cleaners was closed, despite nearly every other shop in Haddington being open for business.

Grrrr - not happy.
