A field of millet
Behind Sue’s house, built in 1906, was a barn that once housed a cow, later became a garage, and began to collapse and had to be torn down and hauled away. Sue had often hung a bird feeder from the barn, and now, in the space where the barn once stood, there is a lively field of millet. She plans to let it ripen for birdseed before she allows her new shed to be erected on the spot where the millet is now flourishing.
Thank you for your responses to yesterday’s portrait of two people who, in Ceridwen’s words, “don’t give way to adversity.” I have enjoyed every comment and am especially fond of Tivoli’s observation: “I don't think there's another couple on the planet I have never met that I care more about.” That’s Blip for you.
