The Blacksmith
Today's jaunt took me to the Weald and Downland Living Museum. This open air museum features buildings representing the domestic and working lives of people of the Weald and South Downs (Kent, Sussex and Hampshire) over the last 950 years. The aim of the museum is to rescue examples of buildings typical of the region, many of which were "in the wrong place" or due to redevelopment threatened with destruction. The buildings have been carefully dismantled and rebuilt at the museum in their original form as far as possible.
The main picture shows a rather dilapidated blacksmith's shed, complete with a smith - I liked the textures. The extras show the track leading to the market place - the nearest building is a school - and some of the livestock kept
