I feel this plant is a metaphor for my week. 

Up, get out the house, toddler to correct childcare for that day, busy day in work trying to finish a project...in reality making more work for myself, run for train, collect toddler, snack standing up at worktop, toddler bath, out to kids summer club to help with 200+ kids,  home, dinner, beer, bed.

Repeat X 5.

But tonight I see the end. Tomorrow a day away from my desk. One more mad night. Then holidays! 

Helping at the club has brought back some memories of a pal no longer here, silly memories of when we were younger adults being silly and daft. I'm also reading an awesome book just now about Jamie Andrew, a very brave mountaineer. Both my friend, and Jamie (as his book has told me) showed amazing courage and bravery in the most challenging circumstances.

My hectic week pales in comparison, and I feel extremely thankful, even if I do feel like a collapsed plant!
