Slightly bemused to find this under the carpet underlay in the Coach House. 

For a bit of fun I've asked the company when this might have dated from (we've also the batch code from the underlay itself).  I'm guessing late 80's.  The underlay appeared in better nick than we might have expected, but then it is just a holiday cottage so not continuous wear.  However, it does tear easily by hand which I'm guessing it isn't supposed to.

The ubiquitous pink carpet certainly had seen better days.  Wear was fine; just that multiple bugs had found it quite tasty and positioning of the furniture had become quite strategic.  Gradually, we're removing all the edible carpet from the house.
