The nicht's are fair drawin' in..... Now we're past midsummer, the days get shorter. offering more darkness. Darkness under which people can get up to mischief. Like tag the hell out of Edinburgh. 

Now I like summer as much as the next person, but part of me wants cold clear evenings perfect for undercover adventures and the prospect of new discoveries. 

In the meantime as the sun sets on an overcast evening, I finished up the rhubarb crumble before heading home past this spot. (I checked Trip Advisor - it's now up to third behind the Velodrome and Porty Promenade as the 'must see' Cigs destination amongst the capital's tourists. A rapid rise.)
