Back to Galiano

Approaching the Sturdies Bay dock on Galiano Island on our first trip on the spiffy new ferry, the Salish Eagle, made in Poland. There is another car deck below this one. It's all quite nice and uses liquified natural gas which they claim is equal to taking 633 cars off the raid annually. ..smaller gift shop, nicer pet area. And it doesn't shake when it starts up. :-) The old Queen of Nanaimo is supposed to be back in service tomorrow for the long weekend.

And now we are relaxing on our deck on a beautiful day, having carted what I'm sure is a record number of bags for us (28!.. Bags boxes, water jug, paint, birdseed, computer, food, laundry we brought home to wash, etc). from car to boat to cabin. (Extra). The golf cart cart helped. The water thing isn't quite sorted yet, .... But we were prepared for that... It will be. Report tomorrow..
