Going, going, gone!

I was in John Lewis today for my free coffee and cake, there is a new, not sure if it is temporary restaurant on the 5th floor and the views were fantastic. To the north west, the demolition of the car park is complete and they look to be clearing some of the shop area too. The machines were huge, the two at the front were rescuing cables and pipes and sorting them... using the grabbing jaws of the machines, into two containers, it all looked a bit like a super duper playmobile kit. I couldn't help wondering how many people, and how much time it would have taken without the machines.
The extra is the view down Leith Walk, I'm sure you can see further than from the old restaurant. The large building is the Easter Road Stadium and you can see right out across the Forth and past Inchkeith island to Kirkcaldy and up the East Neuk. Well worth a visit.
