Walking in the rain
There are many different types of rain in Scotland; there is the driving rain, being driven into you by a strong wind; there is a gentle flow of small drops; there is a steady drizzle, there are hailstones. Many different types and we experienced all of them on our club walk today in the Sma Glen near Crieff.
We started with tea and scones, as we do, at the Crieff Visitor Centre.... so far so good. Then we drove to the start of the walk and it was pouring, very heavy rain. But off we went, and the rain never stopped. Managed to get a little shelter at a bothy to eat our sandwiches, then battled on.
We shortened the walk because of the conditions, so only did six miles, and we were very happy to get to the pub, I can tell you.
But we all said we had a good day!!!! Certainly makes you feel alive!!!!
