Three White Ladies in the Garden

When I was a graduate student in Bristol I lived just off Whiteladies Road, close by Blackboy Hill — names redolent of a bad period of Britain's history. But these 'ladies' were planted after we saw a much bigger collection  at Anglesey Abbey near Cambridge.
