Nothing happens here...

Remember what we did last week?

Today I made a couple of montages of images taken over the last 6 days on our short break.  This is my entry for the 'memories are made of this' Apple Book I'm preparing.

The top row is Rhubarb and Ginger Gin (that because of her mouthwatering descriptions of gins Mother Shipton encouraged me to buy - and it is very good too!)

Next is a bottle of Ileach, a sweetish, honey flavoured whisky, cask strength (58%) delight with a Puffer on the label and finally a Bellhaven 'Saltire' glass obtained legally from a pub in the Borders.

Bottom row, Inveraray fayre; Lobster and Langoustines, Smoky Josper Grilled medium Sirloin Steak, those field mushrooms are really juicy at this time.  One of the nicest Mushroom Pillau rices I've had in a long time came from Saffron in Innerleithen.

OK,  those dishes may not be haute cuisine but they were jolly good tasty dishes and greatly enjoyed by us both.   I'm saving up now for the September bash!
