Usually a visit to a garden centre is a peaceful event, but this morning I took a friend and she goes round dead-heading the plants. I was supposed to be choosing a plant for an early birthday present but couldn't find anything suitable so off to venue two, fortunately only yards away. Had coffee (awful) and cake to give us energy to tackle another walk about. The fuchsia had a good de-heading session, although one was purchased. Getting desperate I grabbed box of marigolds and paid up - hey, it was supposed to be my present. Ah, just remembered, we are to go to another GC later, hope they have done the dead-heading before we get there!
