Poy Sang Lon ceremony in Pai

There's a temple opposite my accommodation and the previous night I'd been watching a film with Centa and Ilka on our balcony and the film was drowned out by the sound of drums from the temple. The celebrations continued the next day so I went to have a look.

It turned out to be Poy Sang Lon, a rite of passage ceremony for young boys, mostly in Myanmar but also in parts of Thailand.
