Monday: Character Building

So my first action of the day was to send an email to the CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation), correcting an error on the news. There was a report about the first female to command the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace this morning. The current guard is a Canadian regiment - anyway, the report erroneously said that the reason no female had ever taken on this role was because the UK didn't allow women to serve in the military. Not so, I e-mailed, not only do we have women serving in the armed forces but we currently constitute 9%.

The rest of the day was less interesting - I have a feeling these Chinese characters have only recently appeared on this building but I can't say that for sure.

We're enjoying barbecues at the moment - such a nice thing to do when the weather is good. And with a gas barbecue, it's no trouble at all.

Just finished 'Orange Is The New Black', season 5. Can't believe I'm going to have a year to see how that cliffhanger pans out!
