An Old Mill

When I looked through my photographs when I came home from my morning cycle a common theme emerged. Working, brick built buildings. These included a derelict mill on the canal, the 1740 deer barn in Dunham Massey park and this the sawmill at Dunham. Originally built in the 17th centuary as a corn mill it was converted in 1860 to a sawmill. The waterwheel still drives machinery including a frame saw, band saw, circular saw, boring machine and a lathe.

Thanks to everyone who visited my daughter's first blip yesterday and made her very welcome.
