MonoMonday: 15 minutes
Perhaps there have been other examples but one of my favourite moments of 'fame' was with a team of fellow walkers raising money for the Midlands Air Ambulance. We walked the Staffordshire Way, a hundred mile long distance trail, over three days on 2009. We raised over £4,500. Our 15 minutes of fame was to be photographed with a works colleague, the ambulance helicopter and crew, who saved her life when a horse landed on top of her after a fall.
Today, I just happened to be wearing the T-shirt we wore for the walk, now consigned as a work top when painting (I had rather a large amount of decking to paint on what is likely to be the only dry day of the week). I did feel a little guilty and hope the other team members don't see this as some sort of sacrilege!
