Trip to the Bass Rock

A and I had been planning to take trip out for some time but the weather never played ball.   This looked like the best day this week and so we decided to give it a go and take the Sula to Craigleith and the Bass Rock.

Craigleith is busy with puffins, kittiwakes, razorbills and guillemots  at this time of year.    One of the extras is of a puffin taking off with his catch.   tHE bass is a wonderful sight and well worth doing on the Sula - my main shot of the gannets on the Rock and an extra which is an attempt to show the scale of the spectacle.

Some times nice to feel like a tourist in your own back yard....
