With the weather set to deteriorate after today we decided to spend the morning at Arnside. I devised a shortened version of our usual walk but before we left the shore I took some photos of the estuary and viaduct under the blue sky. 

A good move because when we returned the sky was grey and there was a cool breeze. It was still pleasant enough to sit on the pier with takeaway coffee and snacks from the cafe opposite before returning home. 

Today I'm cooking the chicken dinner I was supposed to do yesterday (we had fish and chips instead) but didn't because the Wansfell walk took longer than I expected. My hips and knees have kept reminding me of it today. I'll recover.
