Glass Church

Walked from St Helier to visit St Matthew's Church at St Aubin - known as the glass church - a round trip of 5 miles this morning.

Lady Florence Trent commissioned Rene Lalique to refurbish the interior of the church in memory of her late husband Jesse Boot - founder of Boots the Chemist.

The glass in the windows are decorated with Jersey lilies and the cross and pillars with Madonna lillies. The communion table is made of frosted glass and the cross is over 4 metres high.

Try large

This afternoon we are off Rozel for another 6 mile led walk - and expect to fall into a nearby pub - with tired feet about 6pm for beer!

Hence early blip - can't blip whilst under influence of alcohol:)
