Eigg and Rhum from the Road to the Isles

Amazing weather. Best day of the week.
Drove out the road to the Isles to Mallaig. Amazing views of Eigg and Rhum on the way.
Had a wander about in Mallaig then went for lunch in The Tea Garden - sitting outside in the sun.
Same table we had when we visited with Maeve last October !

The Jacobite steam train (Lancashire Fusilier loco) arrived in the station.
People poured off into town for a walk round.

We went to the Silver Sands of Morar - lots of paddling/wading out as far as we could round the shore.
Sunny ! Water crystal clear. Plastic sea shoes proved useful.

On the way back we called in at Arisaig. Nice village.
Cafe out on the breakwater/pier. Excellent scone jam & cream.

Back to our holiday house. Sat out in the sun under the big parasol.
