Up hill and down dale.
Have you ever had a day when you have taken photos, loaded them onto the computer, and thought, "what the...blip"?
I've just had one of those moments.
I took photos just before nightfall, of a controlled sugar cane fire, down in the valley, to show the blippers from overseas how the sugar cane is burnt, to remove all of the straggly rubbish from around it, before it is harvested and sent to the sugar mill.
At first I thought my eyes must be playing tricks on me! The sugar cane fields are straight, not curved! And will you look at that horizon...what the...?
A quick check of my camera revealed that somehow...but goodness knows how!...my settings had ended up on fish-eye lens!!
Well, actually, the more I looked at this photo, the more I liked it! And it does show the brown areas very clearly where the cane has already been burnt and harvested. You can also see the green fields of sugar cane still growing too.
So there you have it, a fish-eye valley, showing a fish-eye cane fire, which I think looks very "up hill and down dale"!
