Game On!
Kempston Micro - they gave us the Competition Pro joystick - a definite piece of kit, in the 80s, and early 90s. Modelled on the Atari joystick wich is quite similar. Even suitable for left-handed people, with its two fire buttons. Initially designed for the Sinclair Spectrum (most Speccy games gave you an option of a Kempston Joystick), it wasn't long before they made it available for such machines as the Amiga and the ST. Makes a nice 'click' sound when you move the lever, thanks to the leaf-switches.
Today you can buy a Commodore 64 (C64) with 30 games, all packed into the mould of a Competition Pro for that added nostalgia.
Just for fun, I adjusted the curves, and the noise levels in CS5, before adding some 'unsharp mask' to give it a bit of a retro feel, as it really deserves :)
Hope you enjoy today's little bit of retro history, will LOAD"" more tomorrow :)
