Vegetable Sunday

Spent a while in the garden harvesting the Spring sowing of garlic. A great crop again - no need to worry about vampires this year.

Also dug up some carrots and onions, grabbed a handful of flat leaf parsley and headed for the soup pot. Added some red lentils and a spices and it all turned out as a bowl of very tasty soup for lunch.

Later I headed out on my bike for a flying visit to Poppy who very kindly plied me with coffee and cake and sent me home with my pockets stuffed full of fennel bulbs.
