Sunlit plants

We are running a bit late this morning. When it was time for our usual walk it was persisting it down. An hour later and all the grey had gone and we have a clear blue sky, no clouds and a very strong low sun.

There is a time for flower/plant photography and very strong sunlight is not one of them, especially if the plant is wet. The strong light just bleaches everything out. But if you can get behind the plant, thats another matter. The strong light shines through the leaves and gives a completely different perspective of the plant. There is one problem. You are looking directly into the sunlight. In taking this photograph I held my hand over the top left hand corner of the lens to shield the glare. I took the picture with my hand in it and cropped the frame when I got home.

The geese are well on the move. There are loads of V formations passing over The Baronial Hall. Another sign......
